Big T's Big Day

My dear husband reached a milestone on New Year's Eve:  He turned 35.  To some of you this may not be a big deal, but it is to me.  We are closer to middle age than we are to youth.  Are we mature enough to be there?  I don't know, but we did have a lot of fun getting where we are.
Big T works really hard, tells math jokes in his sleep, and does almost anything to help out anyone who needs it.  I am really proud of him and I am very grateful he is mine.  If he would stop resting his hands above his hips he'd be the perfect man.  : )
We had a party to celebrate his birthday and the new year, and ate a "not quite over the hill" cake and tasty ice cream.  The cake does not look as good as it tasted.  I returned home from my sister's house with just enough time to make the cake but not let it cool.  Oh well, I try.  Some good friends came over and we played games until the kids couldn't keep their eyes open any longer.  Then we all went to sleep.  Yes, 9:30 on New Year's Eve, we are lame.
Happy Birthday Big T and I hope this year is even better than all the years before.

  2. That is a very interesting looking cake! Happy Birthday...sad I didn't talk to Trent in person instead of the answering machine.
Hope you're back in the blogging world!

  3. Sounds like my kind of party. I'm sure that cake tasted great---I'm all about the substance rather than the presentation myself.
