I have been having a blast at rehearsal. The only problem is that I do not believe the person who wrote the score knows that altos do not like to sing at the top of the staff often. We never like to sing above it. Too bad for us. We start choreography on Thursday. I'm nervous; I don't dance well. I'm pretending that I am graceful and charming, not clumsy and Elaine.
The musical director said we needed more basses so Trent joined the cast last night. Then he finds out he will be singing from the pit so he will not be on stage. He is a little disappointed, but thinks it is for the best since he can't dance at all. I'm thrilled to have Trent with me so that we can at least see each other once in a while.
That is a great thing for both of you to do together. Glad your having fun.
