I now have three kids above the age of 8. Ava had a birthday on Sunday and she was so excited. I asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she listed the things that I had secretly planned for her. Wow, I must have been inspired because it was too late to change things. She wanted a doll, pez, and gum. How lucky am I that she didn't want expensive things? She received so many cards with money in them and she feels so loved. Thanks to all of you who love her from afar.
Another of my little girls is now old enough to attend girls' camp tomorrow. How did that happen? Esther is so excited and we have had to stop her from packing way too early several times. I just hope that she enjoys herself and is kind to others. What a social disaster if she can't behave herself. I'm sure she behaves differently away from me than she does at Young Womens. She will remember this time for the rest of her life and I want it to be a good memory for her.
Oh I hope Esther has fun. 12 can be such a hard age! I think it is awesome that Ava wanted exactly what you got for her. I love it when that happens! I loved your story about Stake Conference too. Thanks for sharing the story of the beaver -- it is good to be careful what we allow into our homes! I'm glad you decided to go.
