Move over Mr. Trebek
So this week I'm writing about myself-- Because sometimes I'm really pleased with how things go at work. Every month we have an school wide activity, and this month belonged to the math department. So for months, the person in charge of the activities and myself have been working together to put together a grand presentation of Math Jeopardy, including buzzers, digital projector, and a trophy that is a foot tall. The day of the event was this past Wednesday, and the whole thing was to only last about 30 minutes. I was the host, and because of some good behind the scenes action, it went without a hitch. After all was said and done, a lot of people came up and said how impressed they were with it all. Not only did the contestants have fun, a lot of staff found themselves trying to solve the math problems as well, and feeling smart when they could figure it out. OR worst case scenario, they felt good about the education the students were getting when the kids figured it out before they did. So this isn't just a big brag-fest( right now that's what is feeling like), the question that I have for you is what have you done really well lately? We all need to feel validated every once in a while.

Way to go! You can make a set for Jeopardy, and I can dominate the show. I surprise even myself with how many answers I pull out of my brain! How about next time you're up here we can do a family jeopardy competition?
ReplyDeleteBesides my super-smarts, I am also good lately at cleaning while on the phone. It's only after the fact I realize what I did. What an awesome surprise for myself.
Just don't do what Alex Trebek really did and shave off your mustache. It really ruined his looks. Oh wait. You can't grow a mustache....hahaha. That is what I am good at---cracking hilarious jokes.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm getting better at knowing when to stop goofing around and just go to bed already... oh wait... well, sometimes :) (notice I'm commenting during a lunch break and NOT in the wee hours of the morning!)
ReplyDeleteHigh Fives all around! and yeah, I'm thinking it's family jeopardy time. As long as one of the categories is "life in richfield", I will be racking up the points.
ReplyDelete(don't ask me who the mayor is though)
I guess do a pretty good job of leading the music in church...unless I am out in the hall when the closing songs begins...and the organist has to play the intro a couple of times...until I come flying through the door flipping pages to find the right song...
Way to go with the Jeopardy game! I'm really good at playing Ernie and Burt with Dan. I'm usually Burt and we try to put each other in time out. He wins except he lets Burt eat cookies in time out. I usually get put in time out for blowing out the birthday candles when it is not "my" birthday.
