Good News, O.K. News

How funny is this picture?  Me pushing my mother in a wheel chair, because she just had foot surgery, into an elevator.  But the space was so tight that I had to back up as far as I could.  My stomach hampered my mother's ability to sit up straight.  We had a really good laugh.  I am much bigger now, since this picture was taken in late August, but I am also only one week away from a c-section that will yield a new baby boy.
The reason for the c-section is thus:  JD is wrapped up twice in his umbilical cord (once around the chest and once around the front of his neck) and breech.  Our fantastic Dr. tried to turn him in a procedure called an external cephalic version.  The baby just bounced back because there was not enough slack in the cord.  So, except for some miracle, that we have prayed for, we will be making a trip to the hospital at 5 a.m. on the 26th, unless I go into labor myself before then.  I have been having contractions and I am dilating.  That usually doesn't happen with me until I go into labor.  At least I do not have to wait until the due date, which is what I normally do.  Every part of me hurts--just not at all the same time (which is a blessing in and of itself).
We are trying to be as ready as we can:  Clean house, car seat installed, rearranged furniture, all the obvious things that are required for a new arrival, but I am failing miserably because tidiness is not a natural skill.  The house looks so much better anyway because I am trying really hard to keep the public areas clean.  It feels so good and motivates me to do a little more organizing everyday so that eventually the whole house will be clean and only need some daily maintenance.
Yes, I am rambling, but I have never been so excited to have a baby in the house.  Usually I tough it out until about a year when they start to sleep, then I get excited about the baby.  Cruel, but true.  I think it might have something to do with my happy meds, but I don't care the source.  I'm just enjoying the happiness.
