My Dad is having a bicuspid aortic valve replacement surgery done at this moment. He was born with a coarctation something something (Sherie knows what it was) and cried for the first five years of his life. His mother held him all night long every night of those five years. He then was one of the first people to receive surgery for it, certainly one of the youngest. It took five more years for his mother to recover enough to have another baby. A half century later he needs the operation again. I have peace in my heart that all will be well, but a few prays sent our way couldn't hurt.
p.s. As soon as I figure out how to retrieve the pics of JD off our camera I will post more. He is way adorable. He looks more like me than the other boys. We compared baby pictures; his cheeks are puffier, but he looks so similar.
Update: My Dad's surgery went really well and his is recovering nicely. Thank you for your support and prayers.

Yay for peace, prayers, and sweet little babies!
ReplyDeleteprayers are with him.
ReplyDeleteI'll be sure and say a prayer for him and for continued peace for all who love him. It's coarctation of the aorta and he'll likely be up and doing great soon.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are all doing well--you, your dad, and the new baby! congrats and can't wait to meet him.
