Sore
I am working out hard everyday and then I go to dance rehearsal three times a week. I am eating healthy food and restricting my calories. I have still not lost more than half a pound. There has to be something wrong with me if that is the case. I am so sore I don't want to move. A long time ago I bought sessions with a trainer to get me healthy and help me learn how to stay healthy, but I had to stop working out because of money issues. Now I am working out with another trainer because I would lose what I paid for if I didn't use them. What am I dong wrong? I am going to find out today when I meet with my trainer Anna. She is great and encouraging. I really like her, but all my effort seems to be wasted. I hate wasted effort and I want to be healthy again. Maybe I have lost weight and my body is just not showing the loss yet. We'll see after today.

I know medications can stop people from loosing wait. You may already be doing it but,as much as I love my carbs, it really has helped to lesson them. Don't take them completely out of your diet, but just lesson them. Hope you see progress soon. It is discouraging to not see results when you work so hard.
ReplyDeleteI started making healthy changes over the winter---eating less sugar, more whole grains, increasing my exercise. It took me 10 weeks to lose 5 pounds, but it wasn't painful! Small and simple changes are the way to go, and meanwhile, you're having fun and feeling good (once you get over the soreness)!
ReplyDeleteThe conference talk you mentioned was Elder Cardon. I liked that one too -- and my brother-in-law mentioned it on facebook as the one that struck him the most. As for your exercise plan, maybe you're losing fat, but gaining enough muscle that you aren't losing pounds? Just try to enjoy what you are doing, and don't stand on the scale too often. Way to be determined! I hate being sore.
ReplyDeleteFrustrating!! I agree with Jen about the meds and carbs. I found success when I ate like a diabetic--reduced carbs. Just try one meal a day carb-less--like eggs/cheese for breakfast instead of cereal, for example.
