Something they want
Something they need
Something to play with
Something to read
I am changing the something to play with to something to wear. It still rhymes; plus, every kid love to open a package of tighty whities on Christmas morning. Happy shopping!
I am decorating a doll house that my Dad built for my girls. He built us one when we were little and it was the best gift ever. We all fought (not really) for ownership, so they came up with a solution--make three more. Here are the updates on the progress.
First picture: This is how it came. Second picture: Primed. Third Picture: Faux stonework on the back and sides. Fourth picture: Grey roof. Today I plan to tile the patio and bathroom. Wish me luck.

Thats turning out adorable!! Good Job
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fun project. So do you have to plumb it and everything too?
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Barbies needed plumbing, but the furniture set I bought after Christmas last year came with a toilet, sink, shower, washing machine, and dryer so we are all set.
ReplyDeleteFun house. Leon was thinking of making Noelle one this year as well. But he hasn't started it yet so it might be for next year...
ReplyDeleteBe sure to get some manly dolls for B and A to enjoy it as well!
So I think something they need could be the tighty whities. :)
ReplyDeleteThe house is looking good, can't wait to see more.
P.S. E didn't bring a note home for next Activity Day, we are doing fleece scarf/hat. I have some fleece, she will have to come choose hers, or you can get some for her. 6"x60" for scarf, 16"x21" for hat. Oh and did you see her magic, she was able to turn all those coins into a folded paper bill. :)
that's what M has been asking for this year... and I missed out on the CostCo one... guess I'd better get to work (yours is looking great!
ReplyDeleteFunny thing though - your version of the poem is the only one I've ever heard - I'd never seen the "something to play with" part before. I like the "something to wear" MUCH better!
