Hotdogs in the Wind

Our poor Elders Quorum Presidency.  They planned a softball and BBQ for last night.  It was a great idea in theory.  The wind was so strong that nobody wanted to come.  They called the pres. and asked if they had to go.  I wanted a turn to bat, but the Baby couldn't be put down because of the wind.  I held him until we could stand it no longer.  I led the parade into the church and invaded the nursery until the hotdogs were ready.  We ate in the foyer and left quickly to put the kids to bed.  They want to reschedule for a day when the wind doesn't stop the ball in midair.
I personally like the wind; it keeps the air clean and fresh.  I do not like holding my baby in it, though.  I held him so long that my ribs ache today.  I had a hard time sleeping last night and I am glad my children are not signed up for sports.  Spring is too windy to sit outside all afternoon and evening with little kids watching baseball or soccer.  My poor kids.  They are going to grow up talentless.  Oh well, they will forgive me one day.
Today is B's school play at the Shakespearian Festival.  He is Conrad in Much Ado About Nothing.  I hope that Sweet Boy and the Baby behave so that I can record it for Big T.  I might post the video tomorrow if I can figure out how.  Also, how do you get the list of visitors to your blog posted on the sidebar?  How do you get music as well?  Yes, I am technically challenged.  I need special ed.

  1. It's hard to plan activities in the spring. Yes, we have been snowed, blown, and rained upon during Ike's soccer games.
I can't tell you off the top of my head how to do those things to your blog but I'm pretty sure if you googled it you would find your answers. Google knows all.

  2. To add a move you put it on your computer, and then go in to write your blog and click on the movie thingy and upload it. Sometimes it even works. If not there is always youtube. As for music, I've done it but can't remember how. Laura knows. I don't mind warm wind but it has to be warm or I'll freeze. Way to stick it out for as long as you did with a baby.

  3. I don't like Spring sports because they infringe upon dinner time. Luckily no one's doing them at our house either.
To add music go to projectplaylist.com.
You can create an account and make a playlist by searching for songs you like and adding them to your playlist(much like you do in itunes) After that you have the option of "sharing" your playlist. Click on the blogger option and it will walk you through the details.

  4. go play with the widgets in your design page... I'm not sure which you're looking for, but some are fun :)

and we've even had EQ activities here that were miserable due to cold windy weather... Spring is just a chancy time to schedule anything outdoors!
