When my little nephew hurled at the party last Sunday, I should have known that I would catch the same bug. I wasn't even around him. Good thing this experience redoubled my belief that I am done having children, but I have said that before. Getting the vurps was not due to my meatball subs, hooray, I think. Taking care of little ones when you feel so horrible is my least favorite activity right below potty training.
My life is a little like Murphy's Law lately. I wanted to lie down in bed so I was carrying the Baby's bouncer down stairs to put on the bed next to me. Good thing he wasn't in it because I hit the door jam in just the wrong way and it hit me in the ribs so hard that it knocked the wind out of me. I have never had the wind knocked out of me because I am a scaredy cat and don't do anything that might get me hurt. I do not think I want to repeat the experience. I thought I broke my ribs. I've never had a broken bone so this is as close as I want to come. Every time I move or breath I hurt, a lot. I have trouble holding the Baby and even feeding him. An hour or so after that I got a call from E at the school to come and get her because she has a terrible cold. No more, please. Too bad, I don't get my way. The Baby was fussy all day and I just wanted to curl up and die. Good thing E was able to help a little and Big T finally came home. I like it when Big T comes home, a lot.
I am feeling better today and I hope that E can go back to school on Monday. I do not want another Wednesday or Thursday like that for a very long time.
Sorry- that is no good. Hope you have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awful. I hope you are better and that the weekend ends up being excellent.
ReplyDeleteThat goes back to T saying moms don't get sick days. You definitely could have used a nanny.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the illness will not be going through the family!
Been there and done that, so I know how you feel. I hope every one feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteDoes it still hurt? You might have cracked a rib. At least what you described is exactly how I it felt when I cracked a rib from coughing w/pneumonia years back.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, here's to better days ahead.
