Breakthrough

Yes, I was too weak to go on my walk again, but I am better.  Thank you for all your well wishes and sympathy.  I truly felt loved well.  I didn't, however, get a babysitter, like I knew I should, for my voice lesson.  Any volunteers?  Anyway, I had a huge breakthrough.
I figured out how to lift my small palate by yawning with my tongue out and then replicating that feeling while singing, but my tongue always got in the way.  I just didn't get how to open the back of my throat, until today.  You place your tongue underneath your front bottom teeth.  It flattens the back of the tongue and leaves an open space for the sound to resonate.  I also made a breakthrough with my breathing.  You breath using your back and side muscles without poking out your stomach.  I finally had the support I needed to sing with an open throat.  My tone is so much better by doing just those two things.  Hooray!

  1. That tongue in that picture looks disgusting! Hahaha! That's cool that you learned that today and thank you for passing on your knowledge. I tried it but I don't think anybody can change talent with that. It's a good thing you got talent. ;)
