Today is a new day!

Welcome to the first post of what is, hopefully, to become therapeutic for all who participate.

* After I wrote the above, I had to dash away to rescue my two youngest from a flood in the bathroom of their own creation.  Hmmm, not the peaceful beginning I had envisioned for this blog, but probably typical.

Hooray!  Today is the first day of school for E and B.  I hope it is enlightening and fun.

* Another interruption:  The kiddies came home from school.  "How was your day?"  "Good.  Did you know the lights on the Honda are flashing?"  (Apparently "fun in the car" happened while I showered after my walk this morning.)

E and B both have great teachers and I have great expectations for them both.
* Yet another interruption:  Sweet Boy grabs my arm and I notice he is covered in frosting.  B must have left out his after-school snack of frosting graham crackers, a family favorite (I don't bake, okay).  I wash him off and get him a baba only to find out that E's snack leftovers are all over the table as well.  Am I alone, or do everybody's children think of their mother as their maid?

E's teacher, Mr. N, is interesting, organized, fun, and likes smart wiggly kids.  B's teacher, Ms. H, is musical, patient, gentle, and, best of all, loves my kids.  With so many interruptions I think I need to blog at a different time of day, one where disaster will not strike every time my seat hits the computer seat.  Have a great, and peaceful, day.  Patience may come one day.

  1. First ever commenter. Do I get a prize?
Glad to have you in the blogworld. Glad your kiddies are going to have a great school year. Happy kids make happy mom and vice versa, yes?

  2. So, michelle is making me comment on her page. I invite all people to share their frustrations, as misery loves company! Suggestions are great as well. Anyway, that's all for now. TGC

  3. How did I miss that you went to Sea World? Also, every time you mention "Sweet Boy" I wonder what Dan is doing at your house. Graham crackers and frosting has been a favorite of mine for years to eat and to not bake. Some days as a Mom it does seem like every time you sit down you must pop up again for something! Those are my random comments to your blog. I might write on mine again one day.
