Smarty Pants

Yesterday, Big T assigned a math puzzle, like a crossword puzzle, to his students.  They wanted to use their calculators.  Big T would have none of that.  Most of them began to work without electronic help, but a few stubborn delinquents still held out for laziness.  So he offered to race--they would use their calculators and he would use nothing but his brain.  He won the race of course.  But the funny part is they kept getting wrong answers.  They'd punch in the wrong number and it actually took more time to punch in the numbers than it did to just come up with the answer.  Yes, we are anti-calculator in this house.

  3. I bet I could do it on a calculator faster than T's head. But that's because my fingers are speedy fast. We'll have a contest next time I see him. Can't wait!

  4. You can never tell which way the germs are going and no worries. Connor is home today anyhow -- though he says he's feeling better today. It was terrific of you to feed us lunch and take the kids while we disappeared for a while.
