As much as I love my children, they are more attractive in person. I do not think Ava has taken a good picture in her entire life (especially with the horrible hair cut I keep giving her). Candid shots are never a good thing for my kids.
This one of Bennett shows his, "Hunh?" expression that occurs every time I speak.
Ah, the age of teeth and feet. Not photogenic at all.
Even the newborn has his funky moments.
Yikes!
He's even got the beginning of devil horns.
Ah, the best example of the bunch. This is why I avoid being in front of the camera, I prefer to be behind it. The reason I mention this problem we have is because a dear and talented photographer friend of mine, Noelle Reynolds, is going to take pictures of us tomorrow. I hope she can turn this motley crew into a beautiful family worth putting on a Christmas card that we may even send out this year.

The last one looks happy -- and there's a Christmas tree! Good luck with the family photos. We always find them slightly painful. They want us to sit some funny way so we look all symetrical together or something and we have to limp around for a while afterwards to get back to normal.
ReplyDeleteProps to all people out there who have current family pics. Extra credit if you actually look good in them. Ours is current--though the picture contains rolling eyes, a couple different focal points and a dumpster prominently in the background. I picked it because I look halfway decent. Love the mom veto power.
ReplyDeleteWe've got to get ours too. Esp. since the one on the parents' family wall only shows 2 of our kids.
ReplyDeleteOh it's so hard though.
Can't wait to see your pics!
as long as we define "current" as containing all of our children we're current... let's not mention that one of those children was only 2 in the photo...
