Beautiful New Baby

My sister blessed her new baby this past weekend.  She is little and beautiful.  She is good and rarely fusses.  She and the Baby will get along just fine when they get old enough to play together.  I don't have any pictures because I never took my camera out of my bag.  How dumb.  My sister took tons and I will post them when she gets them to me.
My SIL from Montana bought two horses and brought them with her to the party.  On Saturday we spent the evening riding the horse.  I rode a horse!  By myself!  I was terrified because the saddle was for kids and, well, my bottom in not the size of my kids' bottoms.  The saddle was slipping a little to the left and I felt like I was going to fall off.  I would own a horse if I could.  We had so much fun and I want to go to Montana to see my family and ride their horses.  I wanted to go to a dude ranch for our honeymoon, but Big T thought that was a terrible idea.  Oh, well.
The dinner was very tasty and I highly recommend french dip sandwiches for family gatherings.  Meat--ahhh.  Chips are a must and so are pasta salads.  My mother made a fantastic spinach and romaine salad with candied walnuts, strawberries, and mushrooms.  Wow!  That is my new green side favorite since my newfound love of meatball subs has given me the vurps.
Thank you Sis for throwing such a fun party.  We need to get together again soon where nobody has to clean their house.

  1. I think I could like horses. Sounds like a lot of fun. And that salad sounds delish!

  2. Derek doesn't like horses -- they are big and have minds of their own. I've ridden one, and been kicked by one. I'd still ride on again. I'm glad you had a good time and that the baby is beautiful.

  3. I think I need that salad recipe!

I haven't ridden a horse in years... being thrown off is SO not fun and although I "got right back on" like they say to... I have no need to prove my mettle again.
