After choir practice yesterday, Big T and I were asked to sing in Sacrament meeting the third week of October. Yikes. We settled on hymn # 240 "Each Life That Touches Our For Good." Big T began playing a beautiful bottom hand and, but he decided it wasn't quite right. I have more confidence in him in the music arena than I do myself. I thought it was great. Anyway, we are a work in progress, so it will sound beautiful to him too by the performance. (I hope.)
A walking friend of mine gave the lesson in R.S. and did a really great job--Hooray!! I asked a question and it brought up many more--"Do children who die before the age of 8, bic or not, have their temple work done?" The answer was no. So, here is the confusion, Big T thought Alex's temple work was done. Was it? Or is he taken care of because he was bic?
Big news, I was called as assistant den leader for the wolves. Me. Cub scouts. Never again will I say that a particular calling is something I would do if called, but it would be my last choice on earth. It's growing on me. I bought my shirt today--wow! It was the most expensive ugly shirt I've ever bought. Never before have I spent that much money on any shirt, ever. I wanted to go to DI and get one, but they don't have any because people buy them and then sell them on e-bay. Bother. Pack night is Tuesday; I'll let you know how it goes.
Think of all the pretty blouses you could have bought instead :) Good luck on the singing I know it will be great!
ReplyDeleteTrent has different memories than me. I don't even recall such a discussion on Alex's temple work since he was so young.
ReplyDeleteAs for scouts....definitely a money racket the BSA is running. Next scout we have we are not buying a belt, kerchief and other items of clothing that boys refuse to wear. You will do a good job and the parents, if not the scouts, will definitely appreciate your efforts!
Wow, I missed that discussion in RS. You will have to share on the next walk
