Best Place on Earth

Last night the kids had their final choir concert of the year.  The sang On Top of Spaghetti, Like a Duck, Never Smile at a Crocodile, and Under the Sea.  They sang other songs, but I didn't know them.  Ava actually sang.  I was so proud of my kids.  They did so well and I was truly impressed.  Bennett has fought choir for three years and I forced him to join.  Now he loves it.  They really make it fun for the kids.
I really love living here.  I just wish it was closer to Trent's work, necessitating a move sometime in the next 30 years.  I am an impatient person and I hope that all of my trials are not forced upon me to make me learn patience.  I just wish we had a few of my favorite stores and I would be really resisting the move, especially since Three Peaks Elementary won an award for being one of the best schools in the satate.  Trent's time, however, is so valuable, and I cannot be selfish.  He needs to stop commuting so that he can be more fulfilled.
Heavenly Enoch is not the only great place to live.  I just saw the results of a Gallup poll that said Provo/Orem is the 4th best place to live in the country.  I don't doubt it.  I don't know the criteria they used to determine where the best places are, but I am sure they were accurate measures of awesomeness.  I would live there because family lives there, but for really no other reason.  I have been truly happy everywhere we have lived.  Right now I just wish my support system would stop moving away.  It is really hard to find babysitting when your babysitters flitter off to different parts of the world.  Good thing Ester will be twelve in a year.  I cannot wait, but that still does not solve my problem for the daytime need.
Trent got me a massage for Christmas and I used it yesterday.  My neighbor is fantastic!  The only problem is nobody could watch my kids for one reason or another.  So I brought my laptop and put in a movie.  They were surprisingly good and she only had to stop to make JD sit down once and start another movie.  She is a miracle worker.  I know you may think that massages are creepy, but I am hooked.  She was very professional and my inflamed joints thank her.  I hold my stress in my neck and she really did a number on me.  Today I feel fantastic and not sore at all.  Too bad they are expensive and I will not be able to avail myself of her services often.  I think Mother's Day would be an excellent time to call her up and get me a gift certificate.  Hint, hint.

  1. I hold tend to tighten those neck / shoulder muscles when I have stress too which leads to headaches and such. I'm glad a massage helped and I hope your hints are heeded:) I'm glad the choir concert was good! I would have liked to see Ava singing -- and Bennett too. Did Esther sing too?

  3. You gotta know I don't want nobody touching my rolls but my betrothed. But I hear they're heavenly.
Good for your kids to stick with choir. I really tried to talk Isaac into it next year at the junior high(!) but he wouldn't budge.
