Baptism on Broadway

Sweet Boy wouldn't get out of the picture.
He is such a handsome boy!  The baptism was fantastic.  My mom gave a talk on baptism and "Toy Story."  "Jesus doesn't want to write his name on the bottom of the shoe of a liar."  Profound.  We sang a song that was too high for me.  Should have practiced.  Then we went to the font and St. George BIL and my father were the witnesses and Big T did a beautiful job.  The other little girl's grandma gave a talk on the Holy Ghost being a gift.  I had trouble paying attention because my baby was crying.  Why does he only cry in public?  Anyway, B was confirmed by his father with Bro. Barton, Papa, St. George BIL, Richfield BIL, and Payson BIL.  We know all of the others were with us in spirit.  Afterwards, he gave everyone a reluctant bum hug because they were tall and he is short.  In the parking lot, B wouldn't let E get into the car.  "You're already making your first mistake?"  He then let her in.  Oh well, good thing we have the Sacrament.
Sweet Boy wouldn't get in the picture.  What a stinker.  If anyone has a good one of all of us, please send it.
We had a tasty meal of chicken salad sandwiches.  I made three varieties:  Nuts, no nuts, and heart healthy.  I forgot about cousin Veggie Teen and I hope he ate something and didn't feel deprived.  The white cheddar cheetos were a hit and I highly recommend them.  We then enjoyed watching the cousins play wii Dance on Broadway.  I cannot get enough watching Big T sachet.  Hurts my stomach to laugh so hard.  It was a truly sad moment when everyone had to leave.  We miss family so much being so far away and it is hard to say good bye not knowing when we will see them again.  Family:  It's what it's all about.

  3. For the record - Veggie Teen was being a huge pill that day and meat or no he is usually kind of weird about eating at other people's homes... we're a little concerned that in 5 1/2 years I will have a skeletal RM to pick up at the airport

  4. That was a great day. I thought the singing sounded very nice--especially since your voice was the only one I could hear:) At least our kids could offer their moral support, if not their voices.

  5. Okay, so I'm kind of slow and I was trying to figure out why St. George BIL spelled his name in all caps without another L at the end and who he was. Ha! I finally figured it out and had a good chuckle. I really wish we could have been there. I also like that "Veggie Teen" as a name that sounds like he should be in a movie -- maybe a Veggie tales movie?
