Tired + Ice = $$$$$$

Not my specific car because you can't see the damage on mine.
My poor car.  I crashed into the curb at the school yesterday and messed up the alignment.  Grrrr.  Stupid icy curve that you are forced to take because of one-way parking lots.  It possibly could have been my fault.  I was so tired I had no business driving E to choir and I still have trouble bending my fingers.  Not a good combo.  I really hope we can get it fixed in time to go to cute little Brynn's baptism.
Speaking of baptisms, Bennett's is the afternoon of March 5th.  I will formally announce it when I know the time.  Desserts will be appreciated, but not necessary.  R.S.V.P.'s would really be appreciated as well.
Is there a universal law that trials come in threes?  Is it up to three or at least three?  I really hope it is just three because, as much as I am grateful that this post wasn't the bloody stump of my amputated hand,  the car crash is more than enough to deal with at the moment.  Anyone else have a trio of trials at the moment?  I can't be the only one experiencing such a frustrating week.
Before I get too upset, let me count my blessings.
  1)  My family is relatively healthy--stuffy noses don't count in the winter.
  2)  My home didn't burn down.
  3)  My parents are healthier than they have ever been.
  4)  I am slowly getting my to do list done.
  5)  You could see the floor when Big T got home yesterday.
  6)  E thought bumping into the curb was "Awesome fun" and nobody was hurt.
  7)  Big T was not mad at me at all and is grateful I could take it in to get it fixed today.
I would say that is the greatest blessing of them all.  Having a loving family is more than I could ever hope for and I already have it.  Things aren't so bad after all and I feel like doing something today.  Let's hope my fingers cooperate.

  1. Always good to look at the blessings rather then the struggles. Now if I could remember that at the specific time.

  2. I'm glad you feel like doing something. I should really get dressed. If I had gotten moving by now I could have been helpful to poor Tia who forgot the forks for the potluck at her school. Oops. I left our plastic ones at Grandma's. I hope your car is the last bad thing for a while and I appreciated you counting your blessings. I probably need to start listing some off myself. Good sisters in law would be on there.

  3. got in an accident with the curb once when we lived in Colorado - had to get the alignment fixed - but tried not to worry about it too much since my alternative to hitting the curb was allowing the guy next to me to take out my whole front end!

    darn ice :)

  4. Yucky stuff involving cars makes me want to bury my head under a blanket and never come out. Good on you for the positives. Hopefully it's all taken care of so you can be mobile.

  5. What a good grateful list! I could take a lesson from you and remember to count blessings in the midst of trials.
Hope you're able to make it Sat.
