A Trip to Jimmer

We spent Saturday in Richfield with BD & LC so that Big T and BD could go see Jimmer play.  What a great experience for them.  I don't really know what happened other than BYU won and they had a good bonding experience.  Talkin' sports isn't exactly my cup of tea, but I tried to glean useful info.  The only hope for the other team to win was for Jimmer to have an off night, he did but had a surge at the end.  Too bad for the losers.
On the way to the fair city of R, we played a little Queen.  B loves "We Will Rock You" and does a little air guitar.  What a goofy expression.  Of course, it started a fight because E doesn't like his hand in her face.  Groan.  Too bad she has no appreciation for the art that is air guitar.
Once we arrived the kids disappeared downstairs for a little wii and "Just Dance 2."  What a great invention.  E and cousin K came with LC and I to get pizza and root beer for lunch.  The little stinkers kept hiding and asking for stuff.  Next time E gets to stay home and I will go by myself.  After the pizza the men left and we had a great time reading, shopping, making hair bows, and watching movies.
Too bad A wouldn't wear it after I made it to match her dress.  I hope she realizes she is a girl one day.
I love BD and LC's home; it has shelves and closets.  Very jealous.  The rooms are big enough for people to be in.  What a luxury.  I am so happy for them that they were able to build their dream home.  What a blessing it is to live in America where such a thing is possible.  Having said that, cooking in her kitchen is such a treat.  I made whole wheat blender pancakes while she made sausage, eggs, and syrup without burning herself.  B's favorite part of dinner was the "sausage, definitely the sausage."  What a funny kid.  I guess we need to have it more often for the carnivores in the family.
When the men arrived home a little before 9 p.m., we headed home.  Big T and I had to switch drivers at Beaver so that he could catch some zzz's and we could make it home safely.  What a fun day.  Thanks BD and LC for hosting such a memorable experience.

  2. You do a great job on those bows. I tried to look for Big T and BD's heads during all the camera shots on that side of the MC, but never spotted them. I'm glad it worked out.

  4. the bows look great! M.O.T.H. watched the game on the computer... too darn shaky for me to tolerate so he enjoyed it all by himself. I remembered to ask who was winning at least twice so I didn't look like I didn't care at all... (hey, you gotta fake it 'til you make it right?)

  5. I saw T and B.D. across the way. We tried texting T. but -- he either didn't have his phone, or he didn't feel it vibrating with all of the wildness around him. Or perhaps I have the wrong #? Anyhow, I'm glad you enjoyed some good fun in Richfield and that we did win in the end.

  6. I should have said "We saw" because of course Derek saw them too. He honked at them as they were walking to the game from the parking lot. We were a little slower getting there than they were.
