I Love Saturdays

Saturday is the most productive day of the week because I have company while I clean.  Awesome!  I only hate lonely cleaning and can make it a lot of fun when being creating for other people.  This is what we did to make our home more organized and tidy this weekend:

Aren't you proud of me?  Big T thought I was crazy when I started dumping out the toy tubs instead of just dumping the toys into them.  I stole some pics off the internet and printed them out so that even Sweet Boy can help tidy up.  Everything has a place and everything is in it's place.  For a house without closets, that is pretty impressive.

For those who regularly follow the Blog--here is the finished doll house.  There used to be printouts of famous paintings on the walls, but they got ripped off.  The dresser at the top didn't used to be broken, but you get the idea.  I probably should have put the naked Ken in the bathtub, but he is too big.  He has to use the shower.  He also does the laundry.  His clothes must have been in the wash.
On another completely unrelated topic, I absolutely love singing.  I was asked to sing in a group for our upcoming R.S. birthday party.  We had our first practice yesterday at the dress rehearsal and it was horrific.  We have never laughed so hard.  We went into the other room to practice and decided to simplify the song and we can now sing the last verse acapella.   It gives me such a sense of accomplishment to be asked and then succeed in doing something that requires me to use my limited talents.  If I were to ever join a group I would have to be a soprano because I cannot hear harmony very well and I would have to be great at harmony to sing it by myself.  Wish us luck.

  1. Great job Michelle. Little bit at a time and get the kids helping and you'll have the cleanest house on the block. :)

  2. Wow- good job! That must feel good to have that done. And that doll house is impressive. Can't believe the kids ripped off the cool paintings though!

  3. You've given me the spring cleaning bug too! Today I cleaned up behind the washer and dryer. Good work---and the doll house looks so fun.

  4. You are on an organizing crusade--looks great!
I hope in heaven my vocal cords will be unleashed and I can rock it out--in a celestial sort of way.

  5. I'm hoping for a Tabernacle Choir voice when I get to heaven too. Until then I do the best I can with the one I've got. I love harmony -- though I'd like to sing soprano without it sounding hilarious. Great job on the cleaning and organizing. I did laundry and dishes and feel pretty good about that.
