What To Make For Dinner

First of all, in my defense of the picture yesterday, it didn't look as gross when it was a thumbnail and I didn't notice the food until it was already posted.  Then I didn't care anymore.  Sorry it grossed you out :)   Here is a bum picture with a witty saying just for Megz.  Now on to the post.

If I have eggs, milk, and cheese I can survive anything.  No food in the fridge?  No problem, breakfast burritos for dinner.  They are fast, tasty, and nobody complains.  If you put spinach and onions in them then they can be considered really healthy.  All around good for everybody.
You can put eggs in almost anything and it will taste good.  My favorite is stir fry.  I love stir fry and I am going to make it for dinner tonight.  The secret to good Chinese food at home is cornstarch.  I hated making Chinese at home; it never tasted good.  So grateful for that discovery from my Weight Watchers cook book.  It is the only recipe I use.  Oh well, maybe next year I will discover a new recipe from that book.
I am also a sucker for free samples at the grocery store and when they sampled Panda Express Orange Chicken sauce I HAD to have it.  I tried it and realized I could make it better myself without all the sugar and preservatives.  It is just sugar and orange juice with a few seasonings thrown in.  Wish me luck.  I don't want to ruin my tasty dinner hopes.
Yes, I am hungry as I write this post.  I am always hungry now that I am nursing.  I am craving anything tasty and not good for me.  I should want vegetables, but I only want them if they are fried.  I crave ice cream, too.  I am addicted.  I am pretending that I need lots of fat to make my milk nice and creamy.  Is that a good excuse?  I hope so because I do not want to have trouble with this baby like I did with A and Sweet Boy.  I would so rather be fat than lose my milk.  I realize cow's milk is mage of greens, so I will make most of the ingredients in my stir fry vegetables and have an enormous helping.  Happy eating to all.  I think I am going to go make some fried zucchini.

That is the recipe on my blog for orange chicken- check it out! Maybe you can use some tips in there for the sauce.

I really like steamed broccoli. Tastes so much better than cooked or plain! And frying doesn't have to be bad, right? A little oil or butter goes a long way if you've got the right seasonings. Enjoy your cuisines today!

  2. We are halfway through our second costco sized bottle of the panda express version. M eats it at least twice a week and I certainly wouldn't make it that often

Commenting on my nook... thus the alternate blogger signature

  3. I want your weight watchers recipe.
good for you on wanting to make your own orange chicken. I'm the opposite--why make it and know the ingredients (and ruin the self-delusion that what you're eating is oh-so healthy?) when someone else can do it for you? That's why Cold Cocoa has the food blog and not me....
