Library Day

Sometimes when you want to be a great mother your plan backfires.  We went to story time at the local library today.  A decided she needed to sit on the bean bag, then the little chair, then the big chair, then the bean bag, the my lap. . . you get the idea.  Sweet Boy decided that sitting was not required for story time.  He pushed his little chair around the library, went into a corner and pooped, then came out and felt that it was no longer A's turn to sit on the bean bag and jumped on her.  Good thing coloring time happened shortly after the rowdiness of both my children.  We have to stay to get the treat, you see, because A says, "I didn't get enough candy."  Sweet Boy is sleeping and A is on the bus.  Needless to say, I am going to enjoy this break.

  1. We have beanbags at our library as well and they seem to be waaaay more exciting than any actual stories. It also is dicey when kids leave their spot and try to come back and some other kid has claimed the beanbag. Thanks for reminding me why we don't go to storytime anymore!
