Big T's co-worker helps out with the cheerleaders at SUU and he gets free tickets to the games. He gave us 14 to last nights game. We invited some friends and most of us were able to make it. Normally SUU is not a winning team, so I was afraid it might be an embarrassing loss. Oh, I was so not disappointed at the end result. We won by 60 points. When we neared 100, B kept a countdown because it was the magic number. If we reached it, then nothing else matter to him. You would have thought we won the Super Bowl by the way he reacted when the 1-0-0 appeared. By that time they were bored. So Sweet Boy and B ran back and forth on our row right into a cute little Co-Ed. She loved it for some unknown reason. All the students behind us were having more fun watching our boys than they were the game. It was a massacre, after all.
Massacres are my favorite type of game, I do not want to wonder if I will go home disappointed. I had such a great time, even if everyone else was bored. Near the end of the game, when the cheerleaders were throwing stuff into the crowd, everyone was standing with their arms in the air to catch to t-shirts, except Big T and I. One shirt sailed over all their heads and right into my lap. No Way! The kids then danced and cheered like it was Christmas morning. If I had known it would be that easy to "win" a prize at sporting events I would have been a party pooper long before then.
Thanks for all of your Thanksgiving tips. They were great.
I love a fun outing to a sporting event where nobody is too into the game to mind a few distracting children.
ReplyDeleteI also prefer a blowout. Those close games give me ulcers and take out all the relaxation of being a spectator. Of course Leon and I differ greatly on this aspect.
I like a close game myself... or just staying home...
